yesterday @ volunteer, i got a chance to observe a person who just had a cochlear implant on her right ear:D! amazing! i was soo amazed at what that device can do for a person :) The girl can now hear new sounds :) ahhh soo cool. makes me want to go into audiology instead :P but then again there are risks to having a cochlear implant :( anywayyy in audiology, i feel like theres soo much testing.. not sure about how i feel about that. when i was taking the
audiometry class, it was a bit tiring sometimes to jst sit @ the computerr for testing :( idkkk ~ i kinda like audiology thoughhh :)
I also had a chance to work w/ a child w/ autism :] wow being an SLP is pretty challenging , esp running around w/ the kids :) heh.
btw since i volunteer at the audiology clinic as well, I have been approached by several audiologist . They seem to be determined to persuade me over to the audiology side :) hahah or display the wonderfulness of it!
